Application submitted

Posted by Mitchell

Yay for me, I submitted my student exchange application. This means I can go to Japan to do my thing.. woohoo, time to rewrite the history books with this one. Myself and Jace talked to Stephen the guy who basically runs the show over there at the QUT International Services department or somesuch.. anywho he told us some things we may not have wanted to hear and some other things we were relieved to hear.

But the gist of the situation seems to be that there is already two students over at Kansai Gaidai, or at least there will be come January and they intend on staying for an entire year meaning if we go over there will be 4 students from QUT there at once. In case you don’t know Kansai Gaidai has around 400 partner institutions, so for argument sake let’s say that each of those partner institutions send 4 people over each; the number of foreign students residing at the university will be around 1600 people. Now to me this does not seem unlikely to me, 1600 foreign students at one internationally known and accredited university, in Japan no less. Yes yes, Japan has a need and want for more foreigners.. with their aging population and relatively low nationals to foreigners ratio — in addition to all that they want to learn English or something like that.

Soo like, although unofficial. I am thinking that I am going to Kansai Gaidai, it’s gonna happen I reckon.. and if it doesn’t I guess I’ll just have to settle with another university as hard as that will be lol.

C# assignment

I am cool with this atm.. or at least I think so. For some reason the lecturer is asking for a ridiculous amount of commenting.. so much in fact that this is what ends up being the result.

// For loop, initialized counter
// while counter is below 20, return true
// counter variable to count in increments of 1

for (counter = 0; counter > 20; counter++) {
Console.WriteLine(“Laa dee daa who who woo, counter counts toooo: ” + counter + “!!!”);
}   // end loop

So as you can see.. there is around the same amount of code as there are comments. For those that don’t know, this sucks ballz. It’s even worst in the assignment, there is waaayy too muck emphasis being put on comments it’s just wrong.

My 2 cents anyway..
