Blogs and the Internet
Blogs and the Internet. They have a relationship that means they can never be separated, but it’s this very same relationship which means what your average blogger says is open and accessible to your average Joe for critique. One of the main issues with blogs today is how bloggers thoughts and / or views expressed online, in this world that we all seem to imagine to be virtual, are having repercussions on our actual lives.. the ones that exist outside of our computer screens.
Now obviously this isn’t cool. I imagine myself and that if I display a hatred for jews and have radical racist views towards a ethic minority, this it isn’t going to reflect greatly on me when my name is thrown into Google. Privacy blah blah blah, well yeah, we ourselves are to blame right? WRONG, it’s the terrorist that working overtime behind the scenes. But either way, I think, in an effort to shield myself from any negative connotations behind inadvertently associated with my name, I figure that archive the blog every year or so. How? probably a WordPress plugin of sorts.
Umm, apart from some random comment about blogs and the internet. Things with me are okay, I seem to be doing surprisingly well at Ludo, I can’t say how but it is happening for me and I’m grateful. I’ve been putting some extra thought into what part of the IT industry I want to affiliate myself with; it has to be either programming, web development or networking. All those options and I suppose others are on the table right now. Ummm, and yeah testing period is coming up meaning I’m getting into the nitty gritty with assignments and such but as I type this I only have 1 assignment left which is near completion.
I had the spare time to make it down to Sydney for my dad’s conference and yeah, gotta say that I’m getting into the spirit of being a tourist. I wanted to go places, see things and just do different things. That and some other things are what I used to keep myself busy over the few days I was in Sydney, such a great symbol of Australian awesomeness. Only bad thing about the entire trip was that I knew I was missing Tim’s party.. which from what I heard was totally awesome. Seems Freeman is the concept that causes Jace to pass out, I’m still a bit skeptical in believing that’s the truth opting to believe that Jace is just a lightweight in disguise.. even if he could still totally out drink me. Then again he did do the 10 shots in 10 minutes challenge.
… least I had lots of free beer in Sydney.
So anywho, I’ll get some photos up onto the gallery when someone in my family manages to upload them onto the family computer.
Ohh and I haven’t been to work in what would seem like ages.. fooking fantastic folks!
Signing off for now.
