Updates
Mmm so I’m not great at the blogging thing right?
Anyway, straight to updates.. things have been hectic and seem to be getting worst despite the temporary refuge of the mid (read: late) semester holidays. What can I say? I’m a busy person now days, not that it’s not enjoyable. It would seem the most occupied I am the more I like what I do.
So uhh, wisdom teeth are all okay now! a little bit of pain remains but I’m sure it’ll subside over the next few days so I’m pretty happy about that. It sucked not being able to eat my favourite foods for a good long week, even when I tried to eat my favourite foods it seemed manning up and just jumping into Subway didn’t feel so good.
Ohh and lately, on top of a bunch of other things, I’ve been trying to organise the main webpage. I decided to take advantage of Joomla a open source web content management system and thus far it appears to be quite advanced and interfacable.
Ahh so anyway, I is on the train atm typing this up and there is this maurie guy sitting just opposite of me.. quite hilarious really, this fat maurie guy is snoring his face off with his iPod blaring. I’ve been wondering whether or not I should nick his mX newspaper but well.. he’s maurie and would probably be all like ‘that’s my paper bro’ (like this) and so I’d crack up laughing hindering my own escape.
I’ve also come to the conclusion that since I fail at blogging some much that I’ll shut down my uni.mpears site. Even though it was to satisfy myself and myself only I just can’t bring myself to update it as much as I would require to make any use of it. Which brings me to mention a lil something something with regards to our Ludo program assignment piece. Ahh… not cool.
I had a crack at it today and let’s be honest now, I’m not a great programmer or anything but I can normally get the shit done given some time, well, I had some time and I didn’t get too far. It could have been that I was concerned with a nice looking GUI and then annoyed about a minor task that although wasn’t in the project specification I wanted to get done. Just letting you know that I did in fact get it done but deleted it because it used up like a couple of hundred lines of code that let’s be honest now.. wasn’t that efficient and done well; at the very least I made the part that I did keep very modular-like.
Screeny of my awesome looking GUI! — Fireworks helped out a bit here.
Updates updates.. hm. I met Anthony’s posse on Saturday night! not a bad bunch of peoples either. Chris-o and Matty kept me laughing and I’m pretty sure I returned the favour. Freaked me out that this Chris was called Chris-o (like at least twice!) and is very much alike when you contrast him to one of my old friends from school who is now also a chef.
I think the kicker for me was that I was able to go out on a Saturday night after finishing work at 6:30pm and still make it on time to work the next day at 10am. I don’t know why but I feel good about this, I mean to say that I feel like I used the weekend in it’s entirety.. 3pm – 10pm on Friday, 10am to 6:30pm on Saturday, 10 am – 7pm on Sunday… plus some good times out drinking with some mates. It doesn’t get much better than that peoples.
Uhm, so I think that’s it. Still awaiting my wireless card on order so I can take this laptop to uni more often and actually be able to rely on it. Speaking of which Adobe Creative Suite 3 Master Collection is gaying up on me.. the installer that is. I don’t know why or how but Adobe fucked up and even though I didn’t pay the 2000 bucks or however much it costs I feel ripped off.. atm it’s a 4GB waste of space iso on my HD. Least I didn’t have to download it (thanks Anthony) but it’s giving me a real headache.. I’ve manually deleted this thing, cleared out the registry and even reinstalled Windows. (but kept it all partitioned)
But whatever man, I’ll figure you out.. sooner or later I’ll get you installed. But yeah, it’s looking sweet as got my Visual Studio 2005 all installed n’ shit and even got Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 installed as well. If I could get Adobe CS3 up and running I’d be king.. not that I’m not already.
That’s it I think, I’ve included a picture so be stoked about that. Should make another post sooonish because I’m off to see the guy that handles the International Exchange Department at uni bout Kansai Gaidai stuff.
Ciao.
P.S – Note that long posts usually coincide with long train rides.
